Synopsis.
An immortal detective whose body was stolen by Moriarty, Aya was unable to heal, but unable to die. As just a head, she sought the help of the Oni Killer, Tsugaru. While her initial plan was to have him kill her, instead he suggested they could find Moriarty and her body and she would be able to heal instead. Along with Aya's maid, Shizuku, the three set off from Japan to Europe, taking cases involving monsters along the way.
Notes.
- Aya will almost always be accompanied by Shizuku, who carries around the birdcage in which Aya's head is transported in. It's a gold-plated cage with a lacy veil that can be drawn closed.
- UGMF is similar to a property like League of Extraordinary gentlemen, in that there are various public domain figures running around, such as Sherlock Holmes, the Phantom of the Opera, and Arsene Lupin. I won't assume Aya has met other versions of those characters, but it would be fun to plot out stuff with them, even if you haven't seen this anime!
